Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival is October 12

The Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival, a cherished fall tradition, will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in Lakeside Chautauqua and throughout the Marblehead Peninsula. This free, peninsula-wide event will include a variety of activities for the entire family. The Lakeside-Marblehead Lighthouse Festival is sponsored by the Marblehead Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Lakeside Chautauqua and Lake Erie Shores & Islands.

Port Clinton Lighthouse Conservancy and city announce plans for lighthouse

It has been two years since the Port Clinton Lighthouse Conservancy was founded and began restoration. Just recently, the PCLC came to an agreement with the city to place the restored lighthouse on the north side of derby pond in Waterworks Park. Rich Norgard, president of the PCLC, said the organization is “appreciative of the city and in particular Mayor Leone for working with the conservancy to place the lighthouse in a place that’s mutually acceptable.”
