Edgewood Manor hosting trick or treat

Edgewood Manor is hosting trick or treat Monday, October 27, from 6-7:30 p.m. The event is for children ages 10 and under and will be held rain or shine since it is held indoors. There will be a panel of judges to award prizes for the top three best costumes. Edgewood Manor will provide cider and donuts the day of the event.

Edgewood Manor Hosts Therapy Reunion

Pictured is the Edgewood Manor Therapy Team with several of their Homeward Bound Therapy graduates.

The Rehabilitation Team at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center recently hosted a Rehab Reunion to celebrate National Rehabilitation Awareness Month.  The event began with a delicious lunch prepared by Chef Andrew Ward followed by a presentation from Michael Lopez, Facility Rehabilitation Director about upcoming Therapy Gym renovations.    Jason Geretz, Physical Therapist, added to the event by speaking on behalf of the therapy staff.   “It is wonderful to be in the community and see our patients doing so well.  You become part of our family and we thank you for the opportunity to help” said Mr. Geretz.

All of those invited are graduates of Edgewood Manor’s Homeward Bound Program.  The goal of this program is to restore individuals to their highest level of independent functioning through a team approach, education and training.

Edgewood Manor Health and Rehab Center to host The ABC’s of Joint Replacement

Edgewood Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center will be hosting a Joint Replacement Class on September 22 at 6 p.m.  The class will be held at Edgewood Manor, 1330 S. Fulton Street, Port Clinton. 

The class will contain a wide variety of information pertaining to Joint Replacement Procedures.  Topics will be useful for individuals at various stages, from those considering undergoing the joint replacement to those that have scheduled their procedure.  Michael Lopez, Rehabilitation Director, will be on hand to answer questions and concerns about the rehabilitation process.
