Ricky Ryland, 61, of Oak Harbor, passed away Monday, June 3, at his home. He was born in Port Clinton on September 10, 1951, to Howard "Sam" and Dolores (Neatfeld) Ryland.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, 165 E Water St, Oak Harbor. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11a.m., Thursday, June 6, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Robert R. Lucas, 84, of Marblehead died Saturday, June 1, at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He was born on April 3, 1929, in Marblehead.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6, from 2-8 p.m. at the Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Home, 7755 E. Harbor Road, Lakeside-Marblehead, where members of the Marblehead VFW will conduct military services at 7 p.m.
Richard R. Gillum Jr. passed away unexpectedly at home the morning of June 2. Dick was loved by so many and will be dearly missed by all. He was born October 22, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Newport Beach High School, Newport Beach, CA, in 1944. Dick proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. After the war, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. A very gifted intellect, Dick worked in the aerospace and ordinance industries and held many patents including a braking system used in semi trucks and Winnebagos as well as the CHAMP, a controllable, hand-held, automatic, machine pistol. He retired from Ares Inc. in 1980 and then developed and owned Shade Tree Country RV Park in Marblehead.
Martin A. Gahn, 89, of Port Clinton, passed away, Sunday, June 2, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 19, 1923, in Elmore, the son of Bert and Dorothy (Flint) Gahn
Visitation will be 9-11a.m., Saturday, August 3, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton. A Memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., following visitation in the funeral home. Interment will be private in the Whiteford Union Cemetery, Monroe, MI.
