North Central EMS recently hosted an anniversary dinner to honor their employees for years of service, and to recognize their 26 years as an organization. The dinner was held at Castaway Bay in Sandusky, and employees with two, five, 10 and 15 years of service were recognized and presented service awards by Executive Director Don Ballah. The following recipients were honored:
• Two-year awards — Karen Hetrick, Leah Lantz, Kelly Strimpfel, Matt Triana and Terri Hassinger
• Five-year awards — Diane Dower, Pam Justi, Jim Hinton, Karen Bissell and Bonnie Thompson
• 10-year awards — Lisa Lemmon, Pat Rogers, Jenny Ryman, Ralph Eaton and Jodie Brown
• 15-year awards — Joseph Micheletti, Tom Sees, Jodi Gasser and Tim Toflinski
A Clinical Excellence Award was also presented to Paramedic Darlene Cook and EMT-B Laura Mattimoe. This annual award recognizes one paramedic and one EMT for their dedication, clinical excellence and ability to meet or exceed all company performance standards.
Headquartered in Milan, North Central EMS employs more than 140 people who provide pre-hospital care and emergency and non-emergency ambulance transportation, Specialized Care transportation, Mobile Intensive Care transportation, wheelchair van services and Mobile Diagnostics. EMS stations are located in Milan, Norwalk, Berlin Heights, Greenwich, Vermilion, Port Clinton, Woodville, Sandusky, Bellevue and Fremont.
