PC Seniors plan second annual Cupcakes for the Cure

PC Seniors/Port Clinton Senior Center together with Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home will hold their second annual “Cupcakes for the Cure” Competition & Auction and Celebrity

Look-Alike Contest” on Saturday, May 11, at the Port Clinton Moose Lodge, 1105 W. Lakeshore Dr. Doors open at 11 a.m. with a balloon release at noon. “Celebrities” will be introduced at 12:15 followed by cupcake judging and auction. "Celebrities" judging is by Peoples’ Choice with guests buying votes for their favorite celebrity. The event will include a silent auction. Snacks, sandwiches and beverages will be available for a donation. 

Pre-registration by May 3 is required. Entrance fees are $5 per two-dozen-entry of cupcakes and $25 for the Celebrity competition. Entrants may self-sponsor or may be sponsored by a group or business. Trophies and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cupcakes. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Celebrity winners will receive gift cards.

Admission is $3 for adults; children 12 years and under enter free. Proceeds will be used locally for Women’s Health Care and for gas cards to be used for transportation to chemo and/or treatment for cancer-related illnesses.
