Kern offers non-credit fitness classes

The Kern Center for Community and Industrial Development at Terra State Community College is announcing the winter schedule of non-credit fitness classes.
They are as follows: (instructor is Angie Schroeder, unless otherwise noted)


• Revamped 212 — This class is both a cardiovascular workout as well as strength training. Every fitness level can enjoy a fun, fast-paced workout focusing on weight loss while improving overall health. Wednesdays from 5 to 5:50 p.m. from Jan. 11-March 14. Fee: $40 or $5 per session
• Zumba Fitness Class — The routines feature an interval training session where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Wednesdays, 6 to 6:50 p.m., Jan. 11-March 14. Fee: $40 or $5 per session
• R.I.P.P.E.D — Resistance, Intervals, Power, Plyometrics and Endurance as the workout portion along with Determination will help you achieve and maintain the physique you desire in ways that are fun, safe and extremely effective. Thursdays 5 to 6 p.m., Jan. 12-March 15. Fee: $40 or $5 per session
• Blast-Off — Have fun as you blast through various dance styles that combine invigorating body movements and creative toning routines to burn fat. Mondays, 6 to 7 p.m., from Jan. 9-March 12. Fee: $45 or $7 per session
• Body Works Resistance/Weight Training — Tone, strengthen and add flexibility to your muscles. Instructor: Debbie Gallagher. Mondays and Wednesdays, 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. OR 4:45 to 5:15 p.m., Jan. 9-March 14. Fee: $50 or $3 per session
• Butts and Guts — The name says it all. Tone and tighten those hard-to-tone spots. Instructor: Niki Brough. Thursdays, 5 to 5:45 p.m., Jan. 12-March 15. Fee: $40 or $6 per session
• Cardio Cycling — This new cycling class utilizes heart rate monitors to help you with your own individual fitness goals in a fun-filled group atmosphere. Instructors: Niki Brough and Angie Schroeder. Tuesdays, 6 to 7 a.m., OR Tuesdays, 5 to 6 p.m., Jan. 10-March 13, OR Thursdays, 6 to 7 a.m., Jan. 12-March 15. Fee: $45 or $7 per session
• Yoga-Chi — Relax as you move with the gentle flowing motions of Tai Chi as well as learn yoga posture for cardio, strength, core and balance. Tuesdays, 6:15 to 7:15 p.m., Jan. 10-March 13. Fee: $60 or $9 per session
