Port Clinton bowling team takes on Rossford

Rossford's Bulldog Bowlers traveled to Star Lanes at the Harbor in Port Clinton Friday and split matches with the Redskins. The Lady Redskins put a consistent match together in rolling over the Lady Bulldogs 2498-2185 on team games of 855-829 and added 814 in Baker, improving to 4-0 on the season, 3-0 in NOBC play.

"Our Girls were much more consistent" said Coach Bob Black. "Our lowest two game score was 313, very impressive. We still need to continue to improve our spare shooting and I believe we can shoot in the 2600's. I am pleased our team average is about 815."

Girls win, boys suffer loss in Port Clinton bowling

Port Clinton traveled to Tri County Bowl in Woodville Thursday and split varsity matches with Gibsonburg. The Lady Redskins rolled over the Gibsonburg girls for a 2505-2190 win. They rolled 859-852 the first 2 games and added 794 in Baker.

“The girls bowled very well tonight, but we still need to improve. Again, we had 3 low games in team and sort of lost our focus in Baker. These girls are working hard and I’m sure we will see them get better,” said Coach Bob Black.

Port Clinton Bowlers start out their season

The Port Clinton Redskin Bowlers opened their season at Tri County Bowl in Woodville Monday and split matches with Woodmore. The Lady Redskins rolled team games of 769 and 818 and added 770 in Baker for a 2357 total to the Woodmore girls’ 2003.

Alysia Zoeller rolled 201-170 for a 371 series, Samantha Stroupe 171-184 for 355 and Reilly Wittman 168-173 for 341. Kassidy Mahler added a 165 game. Emily Paul led Woodmore with 212-150 for a 362 series. Courtney Burner added 148 for 280 and Elissa Knipp 139 for 273.

Coach Bob Black said, “For our first match our girls did very well. We need to improve our spare shooting, but we were able to get all 8 girls playing time. If we can continue to improve from this match, we should be a very competitive team this season.”
