The 3rd annual Bluegrass Jam took place in the Liberty Aviation Museum hangar on Saturday, June 28, from 6-11 p.m. It is the third year for the Jam, but it’s the first year it was held in the museum hangar. The Bluegrass Jam bands were the Ottawa County Bluegrass Band and Willow Creek Band.

Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport Authority Director Stan Gebhardt said that last year there were 335 people that attended the event and he expected the number of people there met or exceeded last year’s numbers.

“We have a great group of volunteers that help with this event,” said Gebhardt. “That’s what makes everything run smooth and efficient.”

All of the money raised at the event goes towards aviation: the Tri-Motor Heritage Foundation and the Liberty Aviation Museum. For more information about these organizations visit and
