Chef Vincent Tropepe will be at the Ida Rupp Public Library to talk about his autobiographical cookbook “From Behind the Kitchen Doors” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9.
Tropepe won all three titles in each nominated category designated annually by the United States Culinary Congress, a first in USCC. The categories are Best French Bistro Northeast Territory, Humanitarian of the Year and Chef of the Year 2011 for a second consecutive year, also first in USCC history.
Tropepe holds seven industry certifications and is certified in 12 cuisines, including Italian, French, German, Welsh, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Floridian, Californian, Spanish, Philippine and Lebanese.
He was inducted into Les Amis d’Escoffier Culinary Society, and holds USACC No. 103 national ranking.
