St. Joseph Church Choir will be hosting Marblehead Summerfest in James Park, Marblehead, on July 6, 7, and 8. Summerfest is a new parish event replacing the Parish Fall Festival in September. This event, held in the Parish Hall, featured carnival-style games, food and live music.
The newly developed Marblehead Summerfest will consist of carnival rides, carnival games, vendors, bake sale and more. Bar-B-Que Traveler will be preparing chicken and ribs. Other foods will include summer-time favorites such as funnel cakes, hand-dipped corn dogs, cotton candy and taffy. There will be a beer tent and live music overlooking the park.
Summerfest will serve the wider Marblehead Peninsula Community and surrounding areas.
St. Joseph Church Choir has been very grateful for the support it has received over the past several years. Although a portion of the funds raised by the choir is used to help with future choir pilgrimages, the choir has and still contributes many funds back to the community by helping various groups, as well as helping many families with children who were diagnosed with serious illness.
Chairman for the Marblehead Summerfest Committee is Dennis Printy.
