A new downtown Port Clinton event plans to take the public art market to a new level. It will be held on Saturday, May 25, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Memorial Day Weekend, near the corner of Perry and Madison Street.
The Lake Erie Arty Party’s Event Manager Carolyn Rodenhauser states, “We know that this region has some extremely talented artists and we plan to highlight that by creating a public art incubator in a fun and entertaining environment. We want to feature the seasoned professional as well as the up and coming artist. Our goal is to support our area artists and welcome other artists to perform and sell their works. We want to mix in creative retail, food, and fun to create a unique experience for residents and visitors.”
The new event will be located in downtown Port Clinton at 106 W. Perry Street and the adjacent Premium Auto lot at 116 W. Perry Street and will feature artists and vendors. Event managers are reaching out to visual artists, street performers, photographers, magicians, bands, musicians, food venders, crafters and artistic retailers. The daily vendor cost is $25. Space is limited, and applications must be approved prior to the event. For additional information visit the facebook page at Lake Erie Arty Party or contact 419.656.9487.
