Put-in-Bay’s Bob Gatewood performs with Calabash to aid City Mission

At Brothers Lounge in Lakewood, on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 9 p.m., 87.7 FM and Miller Ferry to Put-in-Bay are teaming up to present singer/songwriter Bob Gatewood and his band Calabash.

Gatewood has entertained audiences from the Cleveland Flats and the Florida Keys to his adopted Put-in-Bay home on the Lake Erie Islands for over two decades. Lately there has been critical acclaim and radio airplay for his latest release, “Be Good to Yourself”.
The band will perform songs from their three releases as well as standards and favorites, including a popular 15-minute musical medley called the “Mexican Music Hour”.
Concert attendees are encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food items, personal care items or cash to the show to be entered into a drawing for a “87.7 Swag Bag” filled with t-shirts, CDs and other goodies. During the intermission there will be an auction of special Put-in-Bay items including VIP boat passes, food, apparel and music. Miller Ferry to Put-in-Bay will also donate $500 to the cause.
The City Mission is one of Cleveland’s most recognized charities, serving hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children over the past hundred years, helping those who are struggling with homelessness, poverty, and various crises, meeting them at their point of need with practical help, loving concern and spiritual direction.
Brothers Lounge is located at11609 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland. Tickets are $10 in advance at or at the door the day of the show.
