Annual St. Boniface School golf scramble set for Sept. 13

St. Boniface Catholic School is pleased to host for the second year a special golf scramble on Saturday, September 13, at Oak Harbor Golf Club. Proceeds from the event will benefit St. Boniface students, programs and services in all grades, Pre-K through 7. 

Cost to participate in the scramble is $280 per team of four and includes golf, cart rental, light breakfast, lunch and eight drink tickets. Individual registration is also available for $70 and players will be assigned to a team prior to the scramble. A shotgun start will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m.

By registering, players will receive a super ticket and a free gift; a chance to beat the pro with Oak Harbor Golf Club’s own Matthew Jennings; golf balls blessed prior to the start by Father Tim Ferris, pastor at St. Boniface Catholic Church; and many more fun activities!

Individual hole sponsorships are also available.

St. Boniface students visit “Rise Above” exhibit

St. Boniface of Oak Harbor fifth and sixth graders had the experience of a lifetime when they visited the Rise Above travelling educational exhibit at the Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton. The program began as students had the chance to talk with Tuskegee Airman Dr. Harold Brown. Dr. Brown told of his experiences as a pilot in WWII flying a P-51C Red Tail Mustang and then assisted the students in creating complex paper airplanes for a distance-flying contest.
