The Port Clinton Knights of Columbus Council 1750 basketball Hoop Shoot is scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, in the Immaculate Conception School gym. All boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14 are eligible to compete in the free throw championship.

After falling to Seneca East in their previous game, the Danbury Lakers bounced back to defeat league foe Maumee Valley Country Day, 43-25.
The Lakers offense featured another balanced attack as Erin Lavelle, Alyssa Almendinger and Stephanie Kukay each scored eight points to lead Danbury.
The Danbury Lakers fell to Cardinal Stritch, 51-29, last weekend, losing their fourth straight game.
The loss leaves the Lakers at 1-8 overall and 0-4 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.
