The seasonal blessing of emergency vehicles and boats

On Tuesday, April 22, Father John Missler of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Port Clinton blessed the vehicles and boats of the Port Clinton Police Department, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, Port Clinton Fire Department and the Marblehead U.S. Coast Guard Station. Ellif Fuiava, Port Clinton Marine Coordinator, organized the event, and Port Clinton Mayor Vincent Leone expressed gratitude to those law enforcement and rescue personnel gathered for their important service.

Coast Guard Auxiliary offers safe boating classes

The US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 16-12 will be conducting “About Boating Safely” classes at US Coast Guard Station Marblehead, 606 Prairie Street, Marblehead, on Saturday, April 19; Sunday May 18; and Saturday, June 14. 

The price of the one-day program is $30 per adult or $35 per couple. It is free for those 18 and under. The class is 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Boating Safety Class to be held at Coast Guard Station

US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 16-12 will be conducting the About Boating Safely Class at the US Coast Guard Station Marblehead, 606 Prairie Street, Marblehead, on Saturday, March 16. 

This one-day program, from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 pm, is open to the public. A tour of the station will also be offered to all participants.
