The Marblehead Bank will celebrate its 105th anniversary by inviting the community and its visitors to special complimentary events that will be held in each of their branches during the first week of July.
On Thursday, July 5, the bank is sponsoring an Afternoon Tea at the location of its branch on the campus of Otterbein North Shore, 9400 N. Shore Blvd., Marblehead. The event will be hosted by the bank and Otterbein employees in the main dining facility from 2 to 4 p.m. and will feature refreshments, prizes and bingo.
On Friday, July 6, the bank is grilling up hot dogs at its main office at 709 W. Main St. in Marblehead. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bank President Bill Tuttamore will be manning the grill and bank employees will help serve up chips and refreshments. A special game with prizes will be available to those who attend.
On Saturday, July 7, the anniversary celebration will conclude with an old-time ice cream social from 10 a.m. to noon bank’s branch office at 259 S. Bridge Road, on Ohio 269 in Danbury Township. Bank employees will be serving up root beer floats, orange creamsicle floats and if you prefer, just a scoop of plain ice cream. A special game with prizes will also be available to those who attend this event.
“The Marblehead Bank was established in 1907 and has been in continuous operation since its inception,” said Tuttamore. “Our success is directly attributed to the unwavering support our community has shown this bank over the years and these events are a way we can show our appreciation.”
The bank still remains a small community-owned financial institution that prefers to do banking the “old-fashioned way” and has earned Bauer Financials “Five Stars” rating as one of the safest banks in the country.
