BPW Celebrity Server Night raises money for scholarships

Celebrity servers Mike Lento and Roseann Hickman

On Thursday, Oct. 24, the Port Clinton Area Business and Professional Women’s Celebrity Server night took place at 1812 Food & Spirits. Celebrity servers were challenged to see who could collect the most money from tips from friends and family siting in their sections. The money raised went to the BPW scholarship fund which helps women living in Ottawa County.

Coming in first place was Peggy Debien, Ottawa County Museum Curator and retired U.S. Navy officer. In second place was Roseann Hickman, BPW President. All together the celebrity servers raised just under $1750 at the event.

BPW would like to send out a big thank you to each of the celebrities who attended: Buck and Chuck, Peggy Debien, Bert Fall, Roseann Hickman, Mike Lento, Trish McCartney, Margaret Phillips and Jimmy Webb. An additional thank you to Mayor Vince Leone and his wife Suzi, to  entertainers Mike Mad Dog Adams and cellist Jacqueline Black, and to supporters WPCR Port Clinton Radio, RL Morgan Realty Group, First Federal Savings of Lorain, Playmakers Civic Theater and the staff at 1812.
