Oct. 1 marks the one year anniversary of Emily’s GSE Jewelers.
Emily Baumert of Oak Harbor bought the business, formerly known as GSE Jewelers, when previous owners Roger and Linda Velliquette retired. Acting as store manager for 11 of the 25 years that GSE Jewelers was in operation, Baumert opted to buy the business after the Velliquettes offered the opportunity.
In the year Emily’s GSE Jewelers has been open, she has painted the store, removed the old décor and re-configured showcases as well as purchased new fine jewelry, gift items, handbags and fashion jewelry. “It’s exciting when long time customers come in to the store and see all the changes,” Baumert said. “I’m so blessed by the support of my community, family and friends. They’re truly the reason my first year in business was a success.”
To celebrate and as a way to say thank you, Emily’s GSE Jewelers has storewide sales ranging from 10 percent to 75 percent off. All diamonds, gemstones and gold and silver jewelry are on sale, as well as fashion jewelry, handbags and giftware. In addition, during the month of October gift certificates are 20 percent off.
“With Sweetest Day on Oct. 19 and Christmas right around the corner, we wanted to start our year-end sales earlier than we ever have in the past. An anniversary sale seemed like the perfect way to achieve that!” Baumert added.
Emily’s GSE Jewelers is located in the Knoll Crest Plaza, at the corner of Ohio 53 and Ohio 163. The store is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is closed Sunday. The telephone number is 419-732-6691, or you can visit them on the web at www.emilysgse.com.
