Missy Buchanan will talk about “leaning into life” at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Community Center at The Vineyard on Catawba. Missy speaks and writes about topics of aging and faith, and reaches out to older adults, especially “those who may need a dose of spiritual encouragement.”
Her latest book is “My Story, My Song,” which she co-authored with Lucimarian Roberts and her daughter, Robin Roberts of “Good Morning America.” This book includes stories and reflections on the pivotal moments of Lucimarian’s life, as well as Robin’s reflections on her mother’s stories.
Missy’s other books, “Living with Purpose in a Worn-Out Body: Spiritual Encouragement for Older Adults,” “Talking with God in Old Age: Meditations and Psalms,” “Don’t Write My Obituary Just Yet: Inspiring Faith Stories for Older Adults,” and “Aging Faithfully: 28 Days of Prayer,” are top sellers for Upper Room Books.
