Marblehead VFW Post 7572 remembers Pearl Harbor

Marblehead VFW Post 7572 held their Pearl Harbor Remembrance Service on Saturday, Dec. 7 at their post. Opening remarks were made by Post Commander Bob Peroni. For the ceremony the color guard consisted of Dave Groene, Bob Sobolewski, Frank Zalar and Dwayne Goebel. The Ladies Auxiliary color guard was led by president Deb Garrard and consisted of Darlene Novak, Ruth Mazur, Alice Peroni, Liliah Groene, Mary Goebel and Jean Dewey.

The firing squad (Dan Monak, Tony Monak, Mike Sotak and Steve Ungvarsky) paid tribute in the cold while Mike Garrard manned the bugle for taps.

A closing prayer at the ceremony was given by Donna Ungvarsky and after the service the Ladies Auxiliary served the traditional SOS which was enjoyed by all in attendance.
