Art Walk encourages Dancing with Mayflies

Dust off your wings and shine up your tap shoes, because the theme of the Thursday, June 27, Art Walk from 5-8 p.m. in Historic Downtown Port Clinton is Dance of the Mayflies.  Dance teachers Carol Clemons and Toni Garrett will give attendees the opportunity to experience some creative dance interpretive movements with a few mayfly touches.  Dancing will commence at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. at Veteran’s Park, Monroe and East 2nd Streets.  Visitors are welcomed at any one of these times to dance for about 30 minutes.

Perry’s longboat christening historical relevant

On Saturday, June 15, at 10 a.m. at the Shelby Street Boat Ramp in downtown Sandusky, the Sandusky Maritime Museum and the Perry Group will unveil Riddle Boat Work’s beautiful replica of Perry’s iconic quarter boat.  The christening will coincide with the Maritime Museum and Lyman Boat Owners Association’s Classic Boat Show at the Paper District Marina that same Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Marblehead man to be ordained

On Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m., Bishop Leonard P. Blair will ordain four men to the priesthood of the Diocese of Toledo at Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral at 2535 Collingwood Boulevard. One of those ordained is Deacon Jeremy Miller, 28, whose home parish is Marblehead St. Joseph.
