Amazing Island Raise benefits local children

Ottawa County CASA and Joyful Connections report that teams are filling up fast for The Amazing Island Raise being held on South Bass Island on Saturday, June 15th. These two non-profit agencies serving local children are teaming up with this fun-filled event to raise funds Put-in-Bay style.

PCAAC Classic Car Show on Aug. 3

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 20th Annual Classic Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown historic Port Clinton.  The event has been renamed the Jerry Lippus Memorial Car Show in honor of Jerry Lippus (Mr. Downtown), who organized the event in previous years before passing away in November 2007 from cancer.

GPAAC invites artists to Appetite for Arts show

The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council is extending an invitation to artists to participate in its annual Appetite for the Arts show, which will be held Aug. 16-18, in the Executive Hangar of the Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport in Port Clinton.

Tenth anniversary celebration for LESI Welcome Center

The Port Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce (PCACC) announces the 10th Anniversary of the Lake Erie Shores & Islands Regional Welcome Center located at 770 SE Catawba Road.  The PCAAC will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, June 13, at 6 p.m.  An open house and an evening of remembrance and fellowship is planned from 5-7 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.

Rotary presents donation to Art Council

At the May 28th Port Clinton Rotary meeting, Rotary presented a $250 donation to The Greater Port Clinton Area Arts Council (GPAAC). The GPAAC has created many events and projects across Ottawa County, bringing awareness of various aspects of the arts to the various communities.
