Liberty Aviation Museum at 3515 E. State Road, Port Clinton, will be honoring veterans on Monday, Nov. 11, offering free admission to the Museum to all veterans, showing movies throughout the day and offering the “GI Special”-also known as SOS or Chipped Beef on Texas Toast- served on genuine mess trays, over at the Tin Goose Diner.
Georgie’s Gal traveling to Dayton
On Nov. 7th or 8th (depending on weather) , the Museum’s beautifully restored B-25 Georgie’s Gal will be flying to the National Air Force Museum in Dayton for a special celebration. The last four remaining of the 80 Dolittle Raiders who took part in the daring mission to bomb Japan in World War II will be toasting their final gathering. Georgie’s Gal, along with three other restored B-25s, will be doing a flyover as part of the celebration.
