Ottawa County Riverview Healthcare Campus turned its multipurpose room into a cozy winter wonderland on Sunday, Feb. 23, for a Snowflake Ball.  A snowstorm and poor weather conditions caused the event to be rescheduled from its original date of Sunday, Jan. 26.  As Riverview Administrator Kendra German welcomed the 60 community members in attendance, she announced, “This Snowflake Ball is our celebration to bid the snow farewell this season!”

White lights and a winter balloon arch, created by Riverview’s Kim Geldien, welcomed those in attendance. The room was decorated with large snow scenes. One such scene was an original winter mural painted by Adelaide Dunn in 1981. Guests enjoyed lasagna prepared by Riverview’s Food and Nutrition Department. Dinner also included salad, garlic toast and a variety of cheesecakes. Entertainment was provided by Jerry Wittman, who sang a variety of musical selections during the dinner. The most popular selection was his medley of Elvis Presley songs.
