Otterbein presents “Protect Yourself from Identity Theft”

Bill Tuttamore, President of The Marblehead Bank, will be the featured speaker at Otterbein North Shore’s monthly Breakfast of Champions to be held on Wednesday, March 26, at 9 a.m. Following a complimentary buffet breakfast served by Chef Ron La Point, Tuttamore will discuss the recent events in the news regarding credit card information being stolen. He will also discuss how to look out for evidence that your I.D. has been lifted and how to better safeguard yourself for the future. This event is free and open to the public. Otterbein offers soup making class

Chef Ron LaPointe will host a cooking class to demonstrate how he creates the soups that are served at Otterbein North Shore Senior Lifestyle Community and have been delivered to local homes this winter. The class will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, at the Otterbein community in Lakeside-Marblehead. Complimentary soup and salad luncheon will be served following the class. Otterbein helps Danbury Food Pantry with urgent need

Otterbein has a big goal – to collect 500 food and staple items before Valentine’s Day, which is Friday, Feb. 14. Earl Mencel, a food bank volunteer, alerted Otterbein that, especially at this time of year, there is an urgent need for donated food for people in Danbury Township.

When Otterbein’s Wellness Director, Martha Meyer, heard about this, she created a community out-reach to collect 500 food items to be delivered to the food bank. “I really hope we’ll go over this amount. It is so important for people in need right now,” said Meyer.
