The Ugandan Kids Choir preformed for a crowd of supporters at Lakeview Park Wednesday, August 6. The children in the Ugandan Kids Choir bring a message of hope by sharing their African folklore and the power of God’s love through music and dance. The children have been brought out of poverty to travel the world to perform and spread their message. The choir tours the country and gives people an opportunity provide education and hope for those struggling themselves.
The choir was invited and sponsored by Truth Ministries. Truth Ministries is a non-denominational church located in Gypsum across from the Erie-Ottawa International Airport. In addition to their regularly scheduled services at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, they have several other ministries offered to the local community. A Food Pantry is open every Monday and Wednesday and a Resale Shop with very low cost items is open Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays. On Wednesday evenings, the church sponsors a free community meal. This meal is served at 6:30 p.m. at Lakeview Park in the summer months and at the church during the colder seasons.
