St. Joseph’s Marblehead choir, volunteers from the parish and community, locals and visitors worked together to have another successful year at the Marblehead Summerfest. Friday night was very busy at the festival, but heat played a factor during the day on Saturday.
The entertainment tent was hopping all weekend with acts such as Calabash, Johnny Rodriguez, the House Band and Wayne Golob Polka. On Saturday and Sunday the festival held a kid’s Olympics where prizes were given out to participants.
“It’s a great way to bring families together,” said one volunteer. “It also brings the people and the parish together. We would all like to give a big thank you to the village of Marblehead and to Mayor Bird for helping with his event. Also, Brian Lucas of street and ground maintenance for keeping the park and streets beautiful for the event.”
The funds raised at Marblehead Summerfest go towards St. Joseph choir and ministries.
