This year the Port Clinton Area is celebrating baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and classic cars over the Fourth of July holiday.
Star Spangled Squirt Gun Run
The day starts with the Star Spangled Squirt Gun Run/Walk 5k. Registration for the run starts at 8 a.m. at the Jefferson Street Pavilion. The run/walk starts at 9 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to line the race route with squirt guns to squirt runners. Pre-registration is $20 for the race and $25 the day of. Firecracker Cutie Contest
At 3 p.m. the Firecracker Cutie Contest will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church. The contest is open to all boys and girls age 0-10. Participants are asked to wear their best red, white and blue for the contest. Awards will be presented at Adams Street Park immediately following the contest. Ice cream, apple pie and hot dog social
There will be an ice cream, apple pie and hot dog social at Trinity United Methodist Church from 3-8 p.m. The event is sponsored by Neidecker, LeVeck & Crosser Funeral Homes and Ottawa County Senior Resources.
Classic car show
A classic car show will be going on from 3-7 p.m. on the 200th block of Adams Street. The first 100 registrants will receive a dash plaque. There will be a DJ playing music from the 50s and 60s during the car show.
Voices of Freedom concert
The Voices of Freedom concert will be at 7 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church. The concert is performed by a community choir under the direction of Greg Fox.
Family dance party
A family dance party will be held at Waterworks Park from 8-10 p.m. The event is hosted by PortClintonRadio.com.
The evening will conclude with a fireworks display starting at 10 p.m. which will be visible from Waterworks Park and the Lake Erie shoreline.
