The Ottawa County Juvenile Court, in conjunction with the United Way of Ottawa County, Ottawa County Department of Job and Family Services and Ottawa County CASA, presents nationally recognized speaker Jodi Pfarr on “Bridges out of Poverty” on Friday, April 20, at the Port Clinton Elks Lodge. “Bridges out of Poverty” is a book and an approach that helps employers, community organizations, social service agencies and individuals address poverty in a comprehensive way. People from all economic classes come together to improve job retention rates, build resources, improve outcomes and support those that are moving out of poverty. This day-long seminar will present methods to counter poverty and its impact on people and businesses in the community.
