The day before her 100th birthday, Donna Sullivan received a Key to the City by Mayor Vince Leone. Donna was surrounded by her family and friends at the 1812 Food & Spirits in downtown Port Clinton when the mayor presented her with the key. Family members came to town from all over the country (Georgia, Virginia, Nevada) to help her celebrate her birthday.
Donna and her husband, Bill, who passed away in 1998, had nine children, 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and eight great, great-grandchildren.

Whereas: Madonna Clara Druyor was born on Monroe Street in Port Clinton on April 20, 1914, she was the 8th of 10 children born to Cornelius and Clara Druyor, and;
Whereas: Donna was raised in Port Clinton where she married William (Bill) Sullivan in August of 1933 at City Hall, Mayor Robert (Bob) Fall officiated, and;
Whereas: Donna and Bill lived in many different Cities and States throughout Bill’s Military Career, but decided Port Clinton was home and the best place to raise their 9 children, followed by 24 grand-children, 46 great grand-children, and 8 great great grand-children, and;
Whereas: Donna is known for the articles that she wrote in the local paper and administrative duties at the Senior Center. But her greatest ambition was to become a wife and mother, and;
Whereas: the citizens of Port Clinton and Ottawa County have benefited from the dedicated service and strong family values that Donna has installed in her family and has passed down through the generations, and;
Now, Therefore: I, Vincent P. Leone, Mayor of the City of Port Clinton, Ohio, on behalf of the Port Clinton City Administration, Council, and Citizens, do hereby recognize Donna Sullivan on her 100th Birthday. I am privileged to join your family and friends in wishing you the happiest of birthdays!
