WSOS Development Specialist Kerrie Carte will serve a second year on the National Skills Coalition’s Leadership Council to represent Ohio. She was reappointed for a second term on the board, has been involved with the coalition since 2008 and joined the Leadership Council in 2012.
Carte, a resident of Oak Harbor, is currently serving on the Ohio Workforce Coalition, the Board of Directors of the Ohio Economic Development Association and the Advocates for Ohio’s Future-Workforce Committee. She has worked at WSOS for the past 11 years.
“My heart lies with workforce development,” Carte said, “and coming from community action I know that being involved in workforce development and obtaining jobs moves people into economic stability.”
The National Skills Coalition’s (NSC) Leadership Council advocates for public policies according to a set of jointly-held priorities developed across the coalition’s multi-stakeholder membership. The coalition’s membership includes community-based organizations, community colleges, labor unions and affiliates, employers and business associations, representatives of state and local workforce, and higher education systems.
