Big changes for Walleye Festival Grande Parade

The Walleye Festival weekend marks the beginning of the busy summer season and Port Clinton kicks it off with our Main Street Port Clinton Walleye Festival and family friendly events.  This year’s Walleye Festival Grande Parade promises to be better than ever with exciting talent and entertainment.  The Grande Parade will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26. This year’s new and improved parade route, brings spectators even closer to the Walleye Festival and through the center of historic downtown. The Grande Parade begins at the Port Clinton High School and heads west on 10th Street,  north on Madison, east on Perry Street, then south on Jefferson Street back to the High School.

“Everybody loves a parade, so whether you choose to participate or stand along the route and cheer for your favorite entry, I encourage you to come out and enjoy,” said Roseann Hickman, parade chairwoman. “I would love to see your civic organization, family or business enter this year’s festivities. Be a part of our great Walleye Festival.”
Parade applications are available at the Main Street office, at 110 Madison St., on our website at or by calling 419-734-5503.
