Director of the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation, Jamie Beier-Grant, speaks to a group of local and area bankers Wednesday night at CIC regarding the Revolving Loan Fund that is available for local business creation and expansion. She explained how the fund could be used to supplement local bank loan packages for such things as purchase of fixed assets, leaseholder improvements, inventory or professional fees. She cited recent loans to Sloopy's Sports Cafe in Lakeside, PC Foods on State Road east of Port Clinton and the creation of Nagoya Japanese Steak House back in 2005. In the nine years since the fund was created, there have been only three applications that have been turned down.
Marty Sutter, President of the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation, talks about how local banks can partner with the organization to provide important loans to help local businesses expand.
