Lt. Robert Enderle
After 10:30 a.m. Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Sunday, Nov. 10, members of the Enderle family from as far away as Columbus, Michigan and Alabama will gather at Veteran’s Park in Port Clinton for a special ceremony. They will be placing memorial bricks in the park for not one, but two of their family who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the U.S. military.
The bricks will be placed to honor Lt. Robert Enderle and Major Clyde Enderle. In 1962, Lt. Robert Enderle was killed in a plane crash while serving with the U.S. Air Force in California. In 1970, his younger brother Major Clyde Enderle was killed in a helicopter crash while serving in Vietnam.
The memorial bricks at Veterans Park will serve as a constant reminder of the sacrifice and service of the Enderle family.
