The Walleye Madness Committee is holding a fundraiser at Mango Mama’s located at 40 Madison Street on Saturday, Oct. 19, beginning at 8 p.m.
The theme of this year’s fall fundraiser is again “Conga for the Cause”, with entertainment by The Island Doctor.
Also participating at this year’s fundraiser is a talented tropical artist whose works can be viewed at www.LatitudeAttitudes.com. He will have a print to be raffled and original tropical art for sale.
Another very talented person participating in this year’s fundraiser is author Bob Adamov, a writer of novels involving mystery and intrigue, all with a connection to Put-in-Bay. He will be doing a book-signing for a number of his books.
Admission is $10, and each ticket is entered into the Grand Prize Raffle valued at over $600. There is also a separate raffle for a 40” TV, as well as Fishbowl and 50/50 Raffles. In addition, some surprise entertainers are scheduled to appear.
Each year the Walleye Madness Committee comes up with a slogan for the year’s event. Keeping with the theme of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Lake Erie, this year’s slogan is “We have met the walleye, and they are ours!”
