Ottawa County Historical Museum resumes winter hours

The Ottawa County Historical Museum resumes winter hours Wednesday, Sept. 4, and will be open from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesdays or by appointment with the curator, Peggy Debien, 419-732-1039 or 419-732-2237.

Currently on display are rarely seen antique photos depicting the maritime heritage of Port Clinton that were presented at the Tall Ships Festival. The photos include a collage of vacation scenes from the past and photos of lighthouses, fishing scenes, wine production, Prohibition and Matthews Boat Company war production watercraft. An exhibit on the Battle of Lake Erie will remain on display for the remainder of the year.

The museum is located at 126 W. Third St., Port Clinton. Admission is free.
