Labor Day weekend the festivities and celebrations of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Lake Erie brought together thousands of visitors and hundreds of volunteers; a number of spectacular ships and their crews; a flotilla of 2000 private boats of all kinds; America’s Band of the US Navy; TBDBITL from The Ohio State University; Grammy-nominated songstress Iris DeMent, Nashville entertainers Willis, Kelly and Rogers; a pirate or two; militia and naval re-enactors; and children of all ages.
