The largest remote control model aviation show in the area will be in Port Clinton Aug. 24 and 25. Exhibitions range from medium to giant-scale propeller driven aircraft to turbine powered jets. This year’s theme is “Warbirds”, featuring model aircraft from WWI to current military aircraft and extreme helicopter aerobatics.
The show is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Pilot flying opens at 10 a.m. each day. The $7 fee includes admission to Liberty Aviation Museum. Kids under 14 and WWII veterans are free.
In addition to fly-in, exhibits and vendors, there is a Kids Zone featuring models-building, airplane barrel rides and Wylie Walleye. For more information, go to www.rcwarbirdsopc.com.
