Mulberry Creek Herb Fair

This weekend family-owned Mulberry Creek Herb Farm in Huron will be hosting their 16th annual herb fair. The event will take place at Mulberry Creek, 3312 Bogart Road, Huron, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s Fair features the culture and traditions of India.

Since 1995, Karen and Mark Langan’s Mulberry Creek Herb Farm has provided quality, well rooted, certified organic herbs and miniature perennials for cooking, ornamental, medicinal and crafting uses. Heirlooms and hybrid tomato and pepper plants are also available.

During this year’s Herb Fair members of the Indian community will be on hand to share their culture. Each day will begin with a “pooja” (blessing) ceremony led by an Indian priest. At 11:30 and 1:30 both days there will be easy yoga classes. Over 60 vendors, workshops and demos will be featured throughout the weekend, along with an artesian bakery, catered Indian and American food and beverages. The annual Mulberry Creek plant sale will be in the greenhouse, including one free herb for every adult admission to the fair. Herb air admission is $5 for adults.
