The Stein Hospice Regatta weekend is packed with activities for sailors and runners, people who enjoy the waterfront, eating delicious food and supporting a good cause. In other words, Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, offer something for just about everyone.
Here is the lineup.
On Friday, June 28, at the Sandusky Sailing Club, adjacent to Battery Park:
•3:30–6:30 p.m., Community Open House, which includes free sailboat rides, displays of classic sailboats and power boats, Sandusky fireboat and U.S. Coast Guard cutter from Marblehead.
•6:30–9 p.m., Stein Hospice Benefit Dinner, with BBQ rib roast dinners and all the fixings. Cost is $20 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under. No reservations required.
•7-11 p.m., Live entertainment provided by “Brooklyn 232”
Also Friday, downtown Sandusky, on Shoreline Drive, across from the Schade-Mylander Plaza:
•6-8 p.m., Carb-o-licious Cuisine Sampling, with pasta, salads and other dishes prepared by local restaurants. For $10 donation, diners can pick and choose what to eat.
On Saturday, June 29:
• The Memorial 5K Run begins at 8:30 a.m. at Sandusky Bay Pavilion. Consider forming a team of at least 5 runners and vying for the Coach Chris Smith Team Trophy. Cost is $15, $20 day of the race.
