This weekend Rob Welsh stopped for a visit with family in Marblehead. Last week Welsh completed the PACTour (Pacific Atlantic Tours) transcontinental bicycle tour challenge.
The Elite Tour, held every three years, started in San Diego, CA, on May 12 and ended at Tybee Island, GA, on May 28, 17 days later. Riders averaged 160 plus miles per day. They were supported by a crew of nine with four vehicles. This was the second Elite Tour that Welsh has completed. To read Welsh’s blog of the trip, go to www.randoneurrob.blogspot.com
