Danbury Township receives Marblehead Chamber donation

The Danbury Township Board of Trustees was recently the recipient of some very special items purchased by the Marblehead Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. Fourteen recycled-material benches were provided to the trustees for use in parks throughout the township. In addition to the benches the Chamber also purchased a new sign for the dog park which was created and manufactured by Allure Advertising in Danbury.

Keith Addy, Director Emeritus of the Marblehead Chamber, said, “The opportunity for the Chamber to give back to the community in a visual, useful way was the thought behind this donation. With the approval of the Board of Directors to purchase the benches and the sign, the rest was easy for this retired member of the Chamber. It is a small way for the community and visitors to recognize that there is an active Chamber of Commerce on the Peninsula.”

Trustee Dianne Rozak added, “These new benches should encourage our many visitors to stay a bit longer at each of our parks to admire the views and utilize our other amenities. Of course we hope they will also patronize our local businesses. Our board is a proud member of the Marblehead Chamber and we are extremely grateful for this very generous donation. The sign for the dog park is a welcome addition to our newest township project. I commend our maintenance staff for their diligent work in keeping our parks in excellent condition for residents and visitors to enjoy.”
