The singing nuns of "Nunsense" fame are heading to Hollywood in Dan Goggin's lively musical, "Nunset Boulevard", which opens at Playmakers Civic Theatre, 604 W. Sixth Street, Port Clinton, on April 4. The story goes that the nuns think they have been invited to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. When they arrive in Hollywood, they are surprised to learn that they have been booked at the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama. Thus the comedy rolls on with song and dance. The show is very funny along with tender, message moments. These five nuns, brought to life by Sylvia Chappell, Karen Abbott, Angela Fishburn, Louise Retzer and Donielle Yates, are irreverent but always respectful to their calling and their faith.
Nunset Boulevard is being directed by Brenda Bou-Sliman with the assistance of Robert Bell. The show will be produced April 4, 5, 6 and 11, 12, 13 at 8 p.m. and Sunday April 14, at 2 p.m. For season ticket holders, please note that you are to use your High School Reunion stub for this show.
