In Port Clinton on Saturday Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived by horse-drawn carriage preceded by a parade and welcomed by an a cappella chorus, all part of the Community Christmas celebration.
Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in Oak Harbor on the Portage Fire District Truck, and lit the Village Christmas tree to kick off the holiday season. This was followed by the annual Olde Fashioned Christmas Celebration. Nearly 250 children visited with Santa, enjoyed cookies & hot cocoa, and shopped in the secret Santa shop. Children can also visit Santa at the Log Cabin in Oak Harbor on Dec. 7 and 14, from 6-8 p.m.
In Marblehead, Santa also arrived by fire truck.
Santa had a very busy schedule on Saturday and it looks like he’s going to be even busier in the weeks ahead.
