OVI checkpoint set for Sept. 21

On Sept. 21 the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office will come together with area law enforcement agencies and the Ohio State Highway Patrol in an effort to detect and apprehend impaired drivers with an OVI checkpoint.

The checkpoint will be in conjunction with aggressive patrols during and after the checkpoint.  It is the hope of all participating agencies that the public will choose to designate a sober driver if they intend on consuming alcohol.  The location of the checkpoint will be announced the morning of Sept. 21.
