Joyce Murphy, President of the Ottawa County Republican Women's Club, announces that on the evening of Monday, Sept. 17, the Republican Women's Club will have their Fall Event at the Port Clinton Elks
No membership requirements are needed to attend; all are welcome,
including men and younger voters. The event will commence at
5:30 p.m. with snacks and hors d'oeuvres to enjoy while welcoming and conversing with elected officials, candidates and friends. There will be a cash bar.
At 6:30 p.m. the Speakers Time will start. Conservative Congressman Jim Jordan of the 4th Congressional District will start the group off. Jordan was first elected to the Ohio General Assembly in 1994. After serving in the Ohio House and Senate, he was elected to the U.S. House of Representative in 2006, where he continues to serve. Over time the Congressman developed a “filter" question which he feels helps him make his decisions--"Will this decision benefit families?" He believes that low taxes, limited government spending and more money in the hands of families and business owners is the best way to keep America strong. Jim, his wife and four children live in Urbana. Invitations have and are being made to other elected officials and candidates to attend.
Reservations may be made by sending your check for $20 per person payable to Pam Fredrick, Treasurer, OCRW, 133 E Main St., Oak Harbor, OH

The Women's Club in Port Clinton lined Perry Street and a portion of Fremont Road for the Labor Day weekend with 250 American flags in thankfulness for our country and those who serve in so many ways here and abroad.
