Rossford beats ‘Skins, girls’ streak ends at 15

The Rossford Bulldog Bowlers traveled to Star Lanes at the Harbor Friday and swept the host Redskins, with the Boys winning 2983-2720 and the Girls ending the Lady ‘Skins unbeaten season 2652-2555. 

“Our girls really bowled great, came within 20 pins of the school record” said Coach Bob Black. “Tonight we were outscored by a team that broke their school record by 300 pins. We had 4 scores 340 or better and the girls are getting better all the time and we have no seniors,” said Black. “We are looking forward to the events at the end of the season.” 

Kassidy Mahler led the Lady ‘Skins with games of 211-171. Eryn Binder rolled 187-175, Sam Stroupe 158-189, and Reilly Wittman 162-178. Caleb Conrad led the Redskin Boys with games of 234-198. Darryl Trent added 190-228, and Jacob Reed172-180.

Port Clinton’s Bowlers will join 42 other teams in competing in the Redskin Tournament at Star Lanes at the Harbor beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

PCHS bowlers have a high-scoring Monday

Port Clinton's High School Bowlers treated spectators to outstanding scoring at Star Lanes at the Harbor in Port Clinton Monday. The Lady Redskins missed setting a new school scoring record with their 2538 series, missing by 39 pins. They rolled team games of 781 and 868 and added 889 in Baker.

The Boys bounced back from a subpar performance Saturday with games of 978 and 976 and added 1106 in Baker for their 3060. They were, however, bested by the Eastwood boys who rolled a 3117 in an exciting match.

The Lady 'Skins, crowned Northern Ohio Bowling Conference Tournament Champions Saturday at Rossford, were led by Eryn Binder with a career best series of 370 on games of 172 and 198. Samantha Stroupe rolled games of 178 and 171 for 349, Alysia Zoeller rolled 151 and 193 for 344, and Reilly Wittman posted scores of 160 and 157 for 317 as the girls improved to 9-0 on the season, 7-0 in the Conference.
