The Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport in Port Clinton has announced their events calendar for spring-fall 2013. The calendar features a wide range of activities for the general public and for the aviation community:

• May 22: B-17 rides on Yankee Lady
• June 19: B-17 rides on Yankee Lady
• June 29: Bluegrass Jam, 6-11 p.m.
• July 4-10: Ford Tri-Motor Rides, EAA
• July 10: B-17 rides on Yankee Lady
• July 20: Ice Cream Social Fly-In, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
• July 31: B-17 rides on Yankee Lady
• Aug. 17-18: Port Clinton Area Arts Council “Appetite for the Arts”
• Aug. 18: EAA Pancake Breakfast & Young Eagle Rally
• Aug. 21: B-17 rides on Yankee Lady
• Aug. 24-24: Radio-controlled Warbird Fly-In, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Aug. 29-Sept. 1: Tuskegee Airmen Red Tail Event
• Sept. 28: Chili & Cornbread Fly-in Aviation Swap Meet
• Oct. 12: Apple Butter Cooking Fly-In

The 33rd Anniversary of the Walleye Festival is a little greener.  Festival goers and vendors are encouraged to recycle glass, cans, cardboard and plastic at the Walleye Festival. The recycling is coordinated by Main Street Port Clinton in cooperation with Republic Services and the Ottawa, Sandusky, and Seneca County Joint Solid Waste District.

Magruder Hospital Auxiliary conducted their Annual Appreciation Lunch at which volunteers were honored for their hours of service in various areas of the hospital during 2012. This year the volunteers were treated with a visit from “Eleanor Roosevelt, First Lady of the World,” portrayed by Linda Laronge, as entertainment for the afternoon. 

The Auxiliary had 44 volunteers recognized with pins for their many hours of service to Magruder Hospital through December 2012. Volunteers honored for their hours of service this year were:
