Linda Peiffer was named BPW Woman of the Year last week at the BPW Christmas gathering. Peiffer here is holding special Christmas pillowcases she is delivering this week.
At Immaculate Conception Catholic Church last weekend over 100 manger scenes were displayed. For the eighth year individuals and families brought in their personal manger scenes, from miniature to nearly life-sized, to share with others.
Big Bopper’s Restaurant is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on Dec. 27 from 4 -8 p.m. to raise money for the abused dogs that were rescued from a puppy mill in Holmes County in November 2012. The dogs have been taken to the Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary on State Road where they are being well taken care of.
