The members Oak Harbor/Penta FFA Chapter reached many goals for this school year and are continuing to strive for higher goals for the chapter. Some of the major accomplishments for 2007 year include:
Student Teacher Tim Lamb,OSU Student, was in charge of teaching FFA history, Small Engines, Animal Breeds, Animal Nutrition and assisted with the 4th place District Parliamentary Procedure Team.
FFA Chapter conducted and sponsored awards for Apple Festival Kiddie Tractor Pull in October, 2007
FFA Conducted a Haunted Woods and Corn Maze on October 20th with over $1600 collected. Proceeds of the Haunted Woods and Corn Maze were donated to the local Food Pantry. Over $1300 in cash was donated along with over 80 cases of food items.
Two members received State FFA Degrees in May, 2007. These members are: Jeff Chambers and Rudy Hanzel.
Five members competed in District competition for Proficiency awards in 2007.
FFA Officers Stephanie Behlmer, Secretary and Jeff Chambers, Treasurer received Gold officer awards at State FFA Convention.
Ag. Business students participated in Food For America Program at Graytown Elementary School in April, 2007.
School Farm Update: 15 acres of Wheat with 6 variety plots; 15 acres of soybeans with USDA Sentinel Rust Plot, The Ohio State University Soybean Population replicated plots, and 35 variety plots; and 22 acres of corn with 36 varieties planted on May 8th , and corn maze planted on May 8th. A total of 114 test plots on the 2007 crop year on FFA Farm, the most test plots ever.
Total of 50 students certified for Tractor and Machine operation in 2007.
Total of 58 students certified for Hunter Education program in late 2007.
Field trips to: Pfeiffer Farms, Farm Science Review, Food for America, Oak Haven Draft horse farm, District Career Development events, State Skills contests, State and National Conventions, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Explore Penta Days, etc.
Chapter participated in Monsanto Sticky Trap Program.
Chapter conducted drive to collect supplies for Military Personnel - Marine Officer Jeremy Leaders at Holiday Season - Shipped eight boxes of supplies donated to Iraq.

2005 - Chapter placed 7th in sweepstakes at State Fair for entries by a department.
Delegation of Officers, Mr. Starkey and Mr. Lamb attended National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, in October, 2007.
Top Sales Person for 2007 - Sarah Harder $2050 in fundraising activities.
Chapter sold a total of $27,832 of materials in the 2007 Fundraising campaign.
Chapter worked with OSU Extension in research with Sentinel Plots, Moth Traps, Adult Rootworm Traps, and replicated Soybean Population plots.
2007 - 100% members to exhibit at Ottawa County Fair.
Local FFA Banquet conducted on February 22nd with over 500 members, guest and advisors present.
Chapter has received over $4100 in Camp Scholarship money donated in 2007.
Chapter donated over $500 to the FFA Foundation program in 2007.
Chapter sent two members to National Leadership Seminar in Washington. Tyler Taylor and Brian Rider participated in Washington Leadership Conference in June, 2007.
Chapter conducted Pennies for Patients program and collected over $1650 in donations for the American Leukemia Society.
The Chapter conducted a pie in the eye contest. A total of 9 teachers were entered in the contest and received their pies in honor of leukemia survivors.
